35 Millimeter: In Translation

"35MM In Translation" is an exploration of translation between mediums: from visual, to auditory, and back to visual again.

The piece is inspired by Ryan Scott Oliver's 2012 Album "35MM:" a song cycle reinterpreting a series of photograps by Matthew Murphy into music. The album explores themes of observation, photography, art, and love through the lens of small stories centered around each photograph. This book aims to interpret the songs once again back into a visual medium through the use of typography and image manipulation.
